Switchback Longboards gets weird at Brittania.
Switchback Longboards of Nanaimo are big sponsors for all of the races and other events here in BC. They always have a unique way of making the event memorable. At the Brittania Classic, it was the mini-ramp.
Brandon Gonzalo tearing it up in the Switchback Ramp.
They also delivered a great commentary.

Are we famous yet?
We met these two girls, Olivia and Scout, at the ferry terminal. They seemed stoked on what we were up to on Saltspring and with a bit of convincing them that we're way bigger deals than we actually are, they agreed to get a picture with our skates!
Thanks girls! Maybe your lovely smiles will make us famous.

Another good day on Saltspring
Woke up super early this morning to catch the 9am ferry over to Saltspring. It's so nice of Mandi and Brendan to invite me along for their vacations. We hit up the usual spots- skated Stewart, Chanel Ridge(I tried the luge!!!!), and had some intense runs on the Slasher, hung around with some of the local skaters Max and Trevor, then did a bit more skating on the way back to the ferry terminal to drop me off.
Here is Brendan exiting a check in a weird hairpin.

Longboard Hockey at Danger Bay
Every year on the day before The Attack of Danger Bay race, after the slide comp, there is a Longboard Hockey tournament at the elementary school's basketball court, right in the middle of Madeira Park. There is always big competition from the "Chilliwack Meth-Heads", and tons of newcomers come to challenge the title each year.
We should sic' Ben on them next year.
